Venus Optics ‘Laowa’ 12mm f/2.8 ‘Zero-D’ lens review with samples (Full-frame & APS-C)

Here we have a record-breaking lens: the fastest aperture 12mm lens for full-frame cameras, with the added bonus of minimal distortion (something I’m delighted to see). Lens manufacturers sometimes seem to trade low distortion for optical sharpness in their designs – can Venus Optics have their cake and eat it with this manual focus lens?
